Diisopropanolamine (DIPA) is an organic compound. It is highly soluble in water. Due to its hydroxyl and amine functional groups, it is useful in many aplications, including as an intermediate in pharmaceutical products and as a solubilizing agent. DIPA is used to adjust and stabilize pH of medications, and it used as an emulsifier in creams, ointments, and lotions.
