Tetraethylene Glycol (TTEG)
Tetraethylene glycol is a chemical compound which is colorless and odorless and from the group of glycol ethers. It is obtained as a by-product in the synthesis of di- and triethylene glycol from ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol in the presence of acids or in the production of ethylene glycol by hydrolysis of ethylene oxide.
