Glycol Ether EB
Glycol Ether EB is an organic compound that is a colorless liquid and has a sweet, ether-like odor. It derives from the family of glycol ethers and is a butyl ether of ethylene glycol. It is used in many domestic and industrial products because of its properties as a surfactant. Glycol Ether EB is commonly obtained through two processes; first, the ethoxylation reaction of butanol and, second, ethylene oxide in the presence of a catalyst.
